USB & bootloader
Cannot enter flashing mode
- Try a stable data cable and reconnect.
- Retry using the bootloader steps for your specific model (see
Wired Flashing).
Flash failed
- Verify that firmware matches your model, revision, and layout.
- Re-download the firmware file and flash again.
Some keys are wrong after flashing
- Roll back to the recommended firmware for your model first.
- Check whether the selected keymap matches your board and layout.
Wireless (BLE / 2.4G / pairing slots)
A wireless device cannot be found
- Press the target channel key (
2.4G or BLE1–BLE5).
- Press
PAR to force pairing and retry.
- Run
CLR (double-press confirm) and pair again.
Stuck keys on Bluefruit
- Verify the matrix in wired mode first.
- Bluefruit uses an AT text protocol; very fast typing may drop characters. See
Legacy BLE firmware.
Wireless does not work after migrating to DuoChord
- Follow the fixed
first migration
sequence: flash AVR DuoChord firmware → Shift + F twice for DfuTarg → OTA →
re-pair.
VIA / Vial not detected
- Trichord models: press
Left Shift + Right Shift + U to switch to USB mode first.
- Try another cable and confirm the model/revision.
Lighting, encoder, magnetic switches
- Lighting/encoder issues: confirm you flashed the firmware for the correct model
and rev (Skog rev A/B are not interchangeable).
- F60 revM magnetic behavior: confirm you flashed
F60 revM firmware; magnetic
