Troubleshooting

USB & bootloader

Cannot enter flashing mode

  • Try a stable data cable and reconnect.
  • Retry using the bootloader steps for your specific model (see Wired Flashing).

Flash failed

  • Verify that firmware matches your model, revision, and layout.
  • Re-download the firmware file and flash again.

Some keys are wrong after flashing

  • Roll back to the recommended firmware for your model first.
  • Check whether the selected keymap matches your board and layout.

Wireless (BLE / 2.4G / pairing slots)

A wireless device cannot be found

  • Press the target channel key (2.4G or BLE1BLE5).
  • Press PAR to force pairing and retry.
  • Run CLR (double-press confirm) and pair again.

Stuck keys on Bluefruit

  • Verify the matrix in wired mode first.
  • Bluefruit uses an AT text protocol; very fast typing may drop characters. See Legacy BLE firmware.

Wireless does not work after migrating to DuoChord

  • Follow the fixed first migration sequence: flash AVR DuoChord firmware → Shift + F twice for DfuTarg → OTA → re-pair.

VIA / Vial not detected

  • Trichord models: press Left Shift + Right Shift + U to switch to USB mode first.
  • Try another cable and confirm the model/revision.

Lighting, encoder, magnetic switches

  • Lighting/encoder issues: confirm you flashed the firmware for the correct model and rev (Skog rev A/B are not interchangeable).
  • F60 revM magnetic behavior: confirm you flashed F60 revM firmware; magnetic details follow the actual hardware.

Known issues by model

  • The "Troubleshooting" section of each model page lists model-specific symptoms; models without unique symptoms follow the common items on this page.
