F60 revM

Product relationship

The F60 series is a bare-PCB product line with no separate keyboard layer. F60 revM is the magnetic-switch (Hall-effect) version of the family.

Quick identification

  • PCB silkscreen: F60 revM.
  • MCU: STM32F401.
  • Connectivity: USB only (wired).
  • Switches: magnetic (Hall-effect).
  • Flashing: .uf2 + TinyUF2.

Do-not-mix warning

  • F60 revM firmware cannot be mixed with F60 rev1 / rev2 / rev3 / F60w.
  • revM's magnetic behavior relies on dedicated firmware and hardware; do not replace it with rev2 firmware.
  • Do not flash ordinary mechanical-switch firmware onto revM, or vice versa.

Firmware, VIA JSON definitions, and SHA-256 checksums are available in the Download Center (see Firmware Downloads).

First use / flashing prerequisites

  1. Download the .uf2 firmware matching F60 revM.
  2. Enter bootloader (see Wired Flashing).
  3. Copy the .uf2 file to the mounted USB drive.
  4. After auto reboot, test key input, layer switching, and magnetic behavior.

Trigger thresholds and calibration depend on firmware and hardware cooperation; confirm behavior on the actual device.

Common features

Default keymap

The default keymap matches F60 rev2 behavior for easier migration between the two. Exact Fn-layer placement follows the firmware you flash.

Model-specific features

F60 revM's magnetic capability (such as trigger point / calibration) is unique and requires dedicated firmware and hardware. If you do not need magnetic features, pick the mechanical version instead.

Troubleshooting

  • Flashing failures: see Troubleshooting / USB & bootloader.
  • Magnetic behavior is off: confirm you flashed F60 revM firmware and check known issues related to magnetic switches.

Version compatibility

  • Hardware revision: revM (only).
  • Config tools: VIA / Vial.
  • Firmware: QMK / Vial builds for the F60 revM target.
