Firmware Downloads).
First use / migration prerequisites
- Download the
.uf2firmware matchingManta40 rev2 Ortho. - Enter bootloader (see
Wired Flashing). - Copy the
.uf2file to the mounted USB drive. - Reboot and test typing, layers, and wireless functions.
Manta40 rev2 Ortho uses the Trichord wireless architecture and is not part of the legacy BLE firmware → DuoChord migration.

Difference from standard Manta40 rev2
- Trichord behavior is the same on both boards.
- The difference is layout and physical key positions, so firmware is not interchangeable.
First pairing checklist
- Press a channel key (
2.4GorBLE1–BLE5). - If discovery fails, press
PAR. - If connections are mixed up, run
CLR(double-press confirm) and pair again.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot connect wirelessly: see
Troubleshooting / Wireless. - No response after sleep: see
Trichord device differences. - Flashing failures: see
Troubleshooting / USB & bootloader.
Version compatibility
- Hardware revision: ortho rev2 (only).
- Config tools: VIA / Vial.
